San Bernardino Pass – The Swiss Alps
With outstanding scenery, the San Bernadino Pass is an incredible road in the Central Swiss Alps. The road is not only surrounded by beautiful landscapes, including vast valleys, alpine trees and snow topped mountains, but it is also well-made and wonderfully smooth. This long, winding pass is certainly one of the best ways to drive from Switzerland to Italy.
Silverettastrasse – Austria
Measuring 30km, this Austrian road is exceptionally impressive! On this road you will drive through a preserved national park, so you are certain to experience beautiful views and breathtaking scenery. The road itself is quite steep with sweeping corners; all of this is complemented with a wonderfully smooth road surface. Be aware, this is a toll road and you will have to pay – it is worth it though!
Stelvio Pass – Italy
Italy’s Stelvio Pass is a road of exquisite beauty, but is certainly challenging! With long sweeping straits and tight, twisty turns snaking down the mountain side, every petrol-head or driving enthusiast must experience this phenomenal road! As the 3rd highest road in the Alps, it isn’t for the faint of heart.
Route 500 Schwarzwald Hochstrasse – Germany
Route 500 is one of the most famous roads in Europe; with a range of deserted roads and trails with corners of epic standards, this is the perfect road for those who adore driving. Surrounded by luscious landscape and, of course, the Black Forest, it is an exceptional driving destination! With race track barriers, it is easy to get a little bit carried away – it is a fast track abundant with twists and turns.
